The New Pompey faces uphill challenges

Up till now, Redknapp has already spent £4.1m on Benjani Mwaruwari and get Emmanuel Olisadebe for free. Now he is ready to spend more for Pedro Mendes, Sean Davis and Noe Pamarot and even Schwarz or Green.

The big spending heated up the transfer market, but may not be good to Pompey. Pompey was not playing well in the first half of this seaon, so bring in some players might be a good way to prevent them from be relegated. However, Redknapp may want to change half of the squad.
