Fantasy Soccer: Best Pick of the Week (27 Nov)

Beattie. Southampton will play a home game with Crystal Palace. Beattie is now rated 1 point, which is perfect for anyone wanna spare their points for other players. Though Southampton lost to Norwich last week, but Beattie scored a goal. He should be able to contribute more to his team.

Boa Morte. Fulham's opponent of this week is Blackburn. Boa Morte is fast and skillful. He should be able to break Blackburn's defense quite easily.

Malbranque. He is one of the constant point contributors in Yahoo! Fantasy Soccer, as he can handle free kick, corner as well long shot well. Steed was absent in the season start, which cost Fulham many games. After he recovered, Fulham is now much stable and playing much better.

Le Saux. He's old, but he is the one who crossed the most amongst all Premiership defenders. Hopefully he will provide as many chances as possible to Beattie from the left side.

Greening. WBA may not be able to upset Man Yoo, but Greeing is determined to make some noise in front of Fergie, the one who sold him to Boro.

Whom should Fergie buy in January?

Man Yoo experienced their worst start in Premiership. Draw and Lose and Draw and Lose. They are now 9 points behind the leader Chelski.

What's wrong with Man Yoo? The team isn't good enough. They were not playing organised football, though they had chance to beat their opponents. Portsmouth and Man City matches are two very good examples. Their midfield cannot control the game well. After Becks and Veron left, no one in the midfield can fill the gap. Giggs and Scholes are just not in good form. And they are getting old.

Man Yoo now needs a midfielder, who can read the match and respond to it well. Moreover, the candidate should be creative and doing good pass. The best candidates would be Robben and Ronaldhino, but Fergie can have no way to get them. Apart from these two stars, Birmingham's Dunn, Fulham's Malbranque and Liverpool's Kewell are very good choices as well.

Kewell is not playing well in Anfield, but Liverpool surely don't want Fergie to have this talented player. However, Dunn and Malbranque are two possible signing. Malbranque is playing very well in these several seasons. He keeps good forms. Moreover, he was a good partner of Saha. Dunn is creative, but he is not up to his standard this season. I think if Birmingham gets a good offer from Man U, Dunn can be a devil too.

Liverpool Injury Crisis

Cisse is out for the rest of this season. Baros has to rest for several weeks. Now, it is Luis Garcia and Josemi. Luis Garcia may be absent in the red's lineup for a month, while Benitez hopes Josemi won't be out for too long.

Year-end is always harsh to any English team, as games in this period is highly packed. Liverpool gotta face the Gunners in Anfield this week. Luckily Arsenal's form is currently very low. I think it would be a boring draw game in Anfield.

After the crash with Arsenal, Liverpool will have 3 away games. First visit White Hart Lane, then Villa Park and finally their neighbour Goodison Park. It is highly possible that Liverpool would lose a lot points before Christmas. What their fans are expecting is the timely recovery of Baros and Luis Garcia before the packed Christmas and New Year period comes.

Though Gerrard can now be playing for the team, the Kop now has nearly no one to score up front. Could Kewell take the chance to show that he is the saviour for the Merseyside team?
